Precision Drone Spraying: Advanced Weed and Spot Control
Agridroneco helps Kiwi farmers and property managers finally elevate their operations by utilizing drone spraying, the only truly advanced solution for weed and pest control. In stark contrast to outdated methods, we use the high-performance DJI Agras T50 aerial application platform. We achieve unmatched precision, accessibility, and minimal chemical drift on even the most challenging terrain across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. As a result, the T50’s advanced system effectively controls invasive species like gorse, thistles, and wilding pines, absolutely surpassing the mediocre precision and limited accessibility that traditional ground rigs and older aerial methods still offer.
The Power of the DJI Agras T50 Dual Spraying System
The heart of the T50’s capability is the Dual Atomizing Spraying System. This technology engineers maximum coverage and minimal drift, a crucial factor when applying herbicides in sensitive New Zealand environments.

Unmatched Precision and Output
- High Flow Rate & Capacity: The T50 is built with a massive 40 L spray tank and uses a dual magnetic drive impeller pump system. Consequently, this delivers a standard flow rate of up to 16 L/min (with two sprinklers), which you can upgrade to an impressive 24 L/min with the optional four-sprinkler configuration. Clearly, this high output is essential for achieving adequate coverage, even on dense, stubborn weed infestations found in scrubland or difficult-to-access areas.
- Leak-Free Precision: The system incorporates brand-new solenoid valves. Specifically, these ensure the spray starts and stops immediately and precisely. This immediately prevents chemical leaks and eliminates wastage. Ultimately, this ensures the spray is applied exactly where the flight plan dictates.
- Adjustable Droplet Size: The centrifugal sprinklers allow operators to adjust the droplet size from 50mu to 500mu. This fact alone is key for effective drone spraying in NZ:
- Fine droplets achieve excellent coverage on low-lying weeds or crops.
- Conversely, larger, heavier droplets are absolutely crucial for penetrating thick canopy layers (like gorse or manuka scrub). Moreover, they actively reduce drift on windy days often experienced in hill country.
Key Benefits of Drone Spraying
- Optimized Chemical Use: We precisely target weeds, thereby drastically reducing overall herbicide consumption and eliminating overspray.
- Cost-Efficient: Saves time and resources with streamlined, effective application methods.
- Eco-Friendly Approach: Agridroneco actively lowers the environmental impact by reducing total chemical usage and precisely targeting specific areas only.
- Minimal Spray Drift: Customizable droplet sizes (Controlled Droplet Application) and the drone’s propeller-driven down wash ensure accurate application, even when traditional methods fail in windy conditions.
- Hard-to-Reach Areas: Our technology effortlessly accesses challenging terrains. This means steep hills, wetlands, or dense vegetation—areas utterly unreachable by traditional machinery or manual labor.

Blanket Spraying Pasture
Rapid improvements in drone technology have now made blanket spraying of pastoral land cost-effective—it is no longer a luxury. Areas affected by weeds such as gorse, thistles, ragwort, buttercup, and other summer weeds can now be managed aerially with our drones. Undeniably, this is ideal for steeper contours where ground rigs and tractors cannot safely reach.
